Nishan has over 10 years of medical device design and development experience.  Nishan served as hardware developer at Scican where he was responsible for improving the reliability of the washer and disinfector.  He also built the prototype for the low-cost sterilizer. Nishan also served as MRI developer at Synaptive Medical, a medical device company focused 0.5T MRI magnet, where he was responsible for designing and developing transmit/received coil and RF power divider.  Nishan also served as an RF Engineer at Sentinelle Medical, a medical device company focused on MR imaging of breast and prostate cancer, where he was responsible for the design and development of advanced hardware design and development for MRI coils. He designed a 16 channel receive Breast coil for both 1.5T and 3.0T magnet.  Nishan earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Carleton University.
