Electrical Engineer
The Basics
- This is a full-time position.
- This is an in-person role with some flexibility. We’ll ask you to spend at least 3 days per week in the Toronto office.
- Work hours are flexible, but meetings are typically scheduled between 9 am and 5 pm Eastern Standard Time.
- The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 annually.

In this role, you'll be expected to:
- Design, build, and verify a variety of electronic circuits utilizing schematic, layout, and simulation tools to meet specific product requirements.
- Work closely with other hardware engineers, embedded engineers, and mechanical engineers to ensure your designs meet cross functional and system level requirements.
- Utilize various lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and DMMs to characterize and troubleshoot designs.
- Engage with vendors and contractors to convey ideas and get support on projects or troubleshooting.
- Strive to understand and tackle the problems you encounter from a first principles perspective.
You might be right for this role if you:
- Are proficient in using CAD tools for schematic and layout designs, with experience implementing circuits such as power supplies (e.g., switch mode/buck supply, LDO), processors, and communication interfaces (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART).
- Have hands-on experience testing and validating circuit designs in a lab environment, using tools such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), and other diagnostic equipment.
- Bring a strong understanding of processors, MCUs, and related technologies, and can contribute to complex system designs.
- Excel in troubleshooting and optimizing designs, ensuring reliability and high performance in real-world applications.
