Esme Bonnell
Industrial Designer I – ProductEsme is an interdisciplinary designer who specialized in bioengineering at the University of Toronto. Above all else, Esme enjoys applying creativity to solve complex problems. Her passion for design took its roots in UI/UX design and has since evolved into a deep interest in the intersection of human factors and medical device development. During her time at Cortex Design, she worked on a range of medical devices, collaborating with industrial designers and engineers. This experience inspired her to deepen her industrial design knowledge and refine her design process by completing the Offsite Design program. Most recently, she worked as an R&D engineer at Boston Scientific, rapidly prototyping and iterating upon transseptal heart access devices. Esme joins Synex with the mission to redefine healthcare through non-invasive biomarker monitoring.
