Borys Chylinski
Senior Industrial Designer – ProductBorys is a human-centred designer who studied art at The University of Western Ontario and industrial design at Humber College. After completing his design degree, he joined Cortex Design where he worked on innovative, and technically challenging projects at every stage of the development process. Borys helped Cortex push the boundaries of product experiences for many startup clients in the fields of consumer and medical technologies, earning several inventor patents and design awards including the Qualcomm Tricorder Xprize for the Vitaliti Medical Tricorder. After Cortex, Borys went on to Brooklyn based Huge Inc, where he worked on a wide range of multidisciplinary projects that bridged the digital and physical realms for fortune 500 clients such as Google and Procter & Gamble. Borys’s passion is to build clean and responsible product solutions. His design studio Abnormal Projects seeks to challenge the culture of consumption by developing products that modify user behaviour to reduce waste, and promote a higher quality of life. Borys joined Synex in 2022 to help bring the vision of non-invasive health monitoring to life.
