Stephen McFadyen
Chief Engineer – Hardware EngineeringStephen started out his passion for engineering in his garage at an early age etching circuit-boards and soldering. He earned both a technical college diploma and a degree in Engineering, completed in 2009. Stephen started his career by co-inventing a new touchscreen technology at Baanto International. From then, he has continued on to support innovative companies by maintaining the track record of novel solutions which is reflected by over 13 patents issued. Stephen's excitement with 'all-things engineering' has given him the avenues to step outside of the Electrical Engineering domain into other disciplines like mechanical design, programming, and finite-element analysis. Very recently, he was the electrical engineering lead for Synaptive Medical, who newly released Canada's first superconducting MRI having both Health Canada and FDA approval. Currently, Stephen is concentrating on bringing Synex's ground-breaking technology to the mass market.
