Jamie Ha
NMR Scientist II – NMRJamie was born in South Korea and came to Canada in 2006 as a high school student. As he fell in love with the Canadian culture and nature, he decided to continue to pursue his studies in Canada. He completed his Honours Bachelor’s degree at the University of Toronto by mainly focusing on environmental chemistry and bio-organic chemistry. In 2017, he joined LGC group as an analytical chemist and soon realized there’s great potential and prospects in further developing the NMR system. A year later, he became a senior NMR specialist taking on responsibilities such as running NMR routine experiments, troubleshooting, method developments, and pulse programming. As he advanced his career at LGC, he acquired a pulse programming certificate from Bruker. His major contribution to the group was primarily in quality analysis for micro molecules. He took the initiative in progressing and strengthening his NMR department by implementing new 2D experiments and numerous quadrupole nuclei into a high-field Bruker AVANCE III magnetic system. Recently, he has become interested in the medical-related imaging field in order to enhance the quality of health care and patient treatment with the help of his NMR knowledge and experiences. Jamie is very excited to join Synex Medical to collaborate with this innovative team to improve human life. During his spare time, he likes to listen to music and sing songs and hopes to create his original works someday.
