Sean has a Bachelor of Science Honours with specialization Physics from Queen's University, as well as a Master's Degree in Condensed Matter Physics from McMaster University. During his time as a graduate student, Sean authored 2 scientific publications. Among these was an article in the high impact journal, "Physical Review X," where Sean presented evidence for the first discovered gapped Kitaev Quantum Spin Liquid. For his contributions in condensed matter physics, Sean was awarded the Frank Dennee Scholarship in 2018.
