Adefunke Koyejo
Lab Technician, Materials Research – NMRAdefunke O. Koyejo is a distinguished materials scientist with a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Turku, Finland. She has a wealth of experience in the synthesis and characterization of functional and hybrid materials, electrochemistry, photochemistry, and spectroelectrochemistry.
Adefunke has held notable industrial and academic positions in collaboration with non-governmental organizations across the globe. Adefunke has published articles in high-impact, peer-reviewed scientific journals. She also serves as a peer reviewer in several international journals. She has been awarded several grants for her excellence in scientific research, such as Magnus Ehrnrooth Foundation, Real Estate Foundation, and so on. In 2022, Adefunke earned the title "spectroscopic expert" as a result of her accomplishment in the development of procedures for Raman spectroscopy. She has spoken at a number of scientific and non-scientific conferences and workshops.
Beyond research, Adefunke serves as a mentor to undergraduate and graduate students, where she collaborates with other professionals to foster a supportive community for aspiring scientists. Outside the lab, Adefunke is a drummer, a vocalist, and a lover of nature and adventure.
