Caroline Gutermuth

Caroline grew up in Northern Virginia, where she studied psychology at George Mason University. After graduating with her bachelor’s, she worked as a research assistant for several labs where she recruited for and worked on projects examining moral emotions, leadership models, recidivism, and applied cognition. She also worked weekends as a counselor at a residential treatment facility, an experience that reaffirmed her interest in healthcare. As a graduate student at American University, her research has focused on interpersonal and socioeconomic influences on health behaviors. Caroline currently lives in Washington DC with her two cats, Noodle and Ana. In her free time, she enjoys reading, video games, and making wine at Good Spirit Farms Vineyard & Winery.
